Settings
The comparison is on text, page by page. A page inserted in the middle makes everything after it come out as changed. A font, a colour or a moved logo do not show up.

Everything happens in this tab. The file is never sent, so there is no upload, no queue and no size ceiling beyond your device's memory.
What this tool does
Compares the text of both documents, page by page, and returns the new version with added or changed lines highlighted. A summary page lists what disappeared, since what is gone has nowhere left to be shown.

Frequently asked questions
- What exactly is compared?
- The text, page by page. The newer version comes back with added or altered lines highlighted, and a summary page lists what disappeared, since what is no longer there has nowhere left to be shown.
- Are images and layout compared?
- No. A block that moved or an image that changed is not flagged: the tool answers “what was written differently”, which is the question you ask facing two versions of a contract or a quote.
- Can I compare two scans?
- Only after running them through OCR: with no text layer there is nothing to compare. Two OCR'd scans do compare, with the caveat that recognition errors will show up as differences.
