Merge PDF files

Several PDFs into one

Where it runs: On your machine.

Drop at least 2 files to begin.

Everything happens in this tab. The file is never sent, so there is no upload, no queue and no size ceiling beyond your device's memory.

What this tool does

Documents are joined in the order you place them. Every page arrives as it was: its fonts, images and internal links are copied across, nothing is re-encoded.

In the same family

YOUR MACHINEnetwork boundaryyour filesdiskthis tabwasm
Closed loopYour disk → this tab → your disk. Not one byte crosses the network boundary.

How to do it

  1. 01Drop in the PDFs you want to join, as many as you like.
  2. 02Drag them into the order the final document should follow.
  3. 03Run the merge and download a single file.

Frequently asked questions

Do bookmarks and links survive the merge?
Yes. The document outline is read, renumbered to match where each page ended up, then written back: that is exactly what copying pages alone leaves behind. Internal links and fonts are carried over untouched, with no re-encoding.
Is there a limit on how many files, or how large?
No imposed limit: the merge runs inside your browser, so the only ceiling is your device's memory. A set totalling a gigabyte goes through on an ordinary machine.
Can I merge password-protected documents?
Yes. Atelier Docs asks for the password when you add the files, one password for all of them, then merges. The merged document is no longer protected: run it through Protect if it needs to be. Many so-called protected PDFs also open with an empty password.
