Fill in a PDF form

A form filled in, and flattened

Where it runs: On your machine.

Settings

This document carries no form field. The “Edit” tool places text anywhere on the page.

Drop a file to begin.

Everything happens in this tab. The file is never sent, so there is no upload, no queue and no size ceiling beyond your device's memory.

What this tool does

Reads the fields the document carries, fills them with what you type, then turns them into ordinary drawing. That last part is what matters: an unflattened form stays editable by whoever receives it, and some phone readers don't even display the entered values.

Frequently asked questions

Why flatten the fields?
An unflattened form stays editable by whoever receives it, and some phone readers do not even display the values typed in: the page arrives blank. Flattening fixes both at once.
What if the document has no fields at all?
Then it is a flat form, made to be printed. Go through Edit, which lets you place text anywhere on the page, including inside drawn boxes.
Do my answers go anywhere?
No. Reading the fields, typing and flattening all happen in your browser. A form usually carries a name, an address or a case number: none of it leaves your machine.
