Frequently asked questions
- Can the recipient remove the watermark?
- It is part of the page artwork like everything else: an ordinary reader will not lift it off. A watermark is a notice, not a protection. To stop the file being opened at all, use Protect.
- Should the watermark go above or below?
- Above, it crosses the content and shows on everything; below, it slips behind the text and behind opaque images, where it vanishes. For a DRAFT or a COPY, above with a low opacity is the right choice.
- Can I add an image instead of text?
- This tool adds text only. For a logo or a stamp, go through Edit, which lets you add an image to the page and place it where you want.
