Content outside the frame is no longer displayed or printed, but remains written in the document. To remove information for good, use “Redact”.

Everything happens in this tab. The file is never sent, so there is no upload, no queue and no size ceiling beyond your device's memory.
What this tool does
Sets a new page box: the white margins of a scan disappear, text is larger on screen, and the file prints framed. What falls outside is no longer displayed or printed, but remains written in the document. To remove information, use “Redact”.

Frequently asked questions
- Is what falls outside the frame deleted from the file?
- No. Cropping sets a new page box: whatever falls outside is no longer shown or printed, but it is still written in the document and comes back on a copy-paste. To remove information, use Redact.
- Does cropping make the file lighter?
- Barely: the hidden content is still there. To cut the size, go through Compress, which works on the images and on the structure.
- Can I crop every page at once?
- Yes, that is the default. It is what a scan needs when every page carries the same white margin; a page range lets you treat a spread or a plate separately.
